First They Came

Each of us has an opinion. In this post I am expressing only myself it is not meant to cause fear or hate.

Many people may not remember or know that Hitler came to power in Germany during a time of great

economic turmoil. His key to his rise in power was to convince the people that others were the cause of the problem he chose the Jew's. Hatred is a powerful force. To convince the people that, they have more then us, they control the banks, they are different from us, they do not care about the ones doing without or with less.

First you must define who they are. Pick a group and go from there.

First they Came is the title I chose for this post. Some will recognize those first few words others may not.

History is a great teacher if only we listen. I will be using this web link as a reference point.

"First they came…" is a poem attributed to Pastor Martin Niemöller (1892–1984) about the inactivity of German intellectuals following the Nazi rise to power and the purging of their chosen targets, group after group.

An early supporter of Hitler, by 1934 Niemöller had come to oppose the Nazis, and it was largely his high connections to influential and wealthy businessmen that saved him until 1937, after which he was imprisoned, eventually at Sachsenhausen and Dachau concentration camps. He survived to be a leading voice of penance and reconciliation for the German people after World War II. His poem is well-known, frequently quoted, and is a popular model for describing the dangers of political apathy, as it often begins with specific and targeted fear and hatred which soon escalates out of control.

The site notes there are several variations on the following poem please go to the site to read them.

The version inscribed at the New England Holocaust Memorial in Boston, Massachusetts reads:

They came first for the Communists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me,
and by that time no one was left to speak up.

Obama's campaign has greatly disturbed me. I am not calling him Hitler I am stating that he is using the same tactics to sway the people. I must speak out.

The following are video's I have found view them and form your own conclusion.

I know much is being said about Obama's connection to Bill Ayers and it should be. There is a pattern
developing here that needs to be exposed.

What is Change? What kind of Change is Obama going to bring? Those are the questions you must
now ask yourself.
